"i'll have a quick look" i thought... 20 minutes later... sooo good, the music, the video production, just fantastic!

Much better than some try-hard personality redundantly explaining what we see happening.

Dont forget to like, comment subscribe and a 7 hour backstory on how they found the recipe while fighting against diamond miners while backpacking in the himalayas

That looks so delicious!

It seemed like he just yolo'd the volumes for wet ingredients when he was adding the cold brew and bourbon. How forgiving is cake batter for this sort of thing?

If you make cake often you can be pretty carefree, just add flour until the right consistency is reached. Takes experience

Sure, but it looked like he had a pre-measured quantity of flour and didn't adjust on that side after eyeballing the liquids. I guess that was the confusing part to me.

The ending consistency is what really matters. Weigh the wet and you can get an accurate estimate of the dry needed, or vise versa. It's all about getting the ratios right, you can look those up online.

I'd eat it in 5 minutes.

Would've stopped @ the mousse/choco cream coat. YumMmMmm.

I irrationally dislike his videos. The artificial lengthening of recipes and the videos themselves. The processes that do nothing. The superlatives. The staged-ness. The shout outs. The humble bragging. The repetitive jokes. The predictable weather exteriors. The pretentiousness.

I say this knowing it will be unpopular, especially if this your first time watching one of his opuses. But after a few, you'll agree with how cloying and formulaic and contrived they are.

YES! Cannot agree more.

I've seen a few and i enjoy his style. Not something I'd watch all the time, but I find them very pleasant when i feel like it. I can appreciate that it's not for everyone.

I don't mind a long form piece, or some cooking creation that genuinely takes a long time, like the cheese making guy. But this guy, he just puts things in the fridge for days and claims pseudo-culinary reasons, brazenly tipping off that he knows his viewers won't know better.

u/nodstar22 Jun 13 '21

I know, but it's so peaceful. I guess we can just choose what we want to be critical about.

Is the recipe posted anywhere?

Did you find it?

Everything about that was incredible- the recipe, the care, the equipment, the videography, and the humor.

I didn’t think I’d stay for the whole 20 minutes but at 5 minutes in I was hooked.

I really want that one chef like Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsay try his food.

I always feel like more than two layers on a cake are overkill, mostly because it makes shoveling large quantities of cake in your face more difficult.

This guy is mocking his viewers.

I love this guy’s channel. His videos are really soothing. Found him through the beef Wellington vid and have been subscribed since.

I have found that ANYthing that has coffee OR banana ...that is all I can taste.

"I like fixing my mistakes with chocolate" Beautiful.

1

u/Tipop Jun 13 '21

I’ve found there are few mistakes that can’t be fixed with sufficient quantities of chocolate.
